Breakdown Task
Use AI to automatically generate subtasks for an existing task. The current task becomes a parent with AI-generated children.
When to Use
- Applies to all screen sizes and device types
How to Use
Location: Main content area, task list section
- Locate the task you want to break down into subtasks.
- Click the 'Breakdown' or 'AI Generate Subtasks' button (often an AI icon or magic wand) next to the task.
- Review the credit cost estimate badge that appears, then confirm the action if prompted.
What to Expect
The selected task is transformed into a parent task, and new AI-generated subtasks appear nested underneath it.
Prerequisites
- A project must be loaded in the app
- At least one task must exist in the current mode
- Sufficient credits
Limitations
- AI generation may not always produce desired results; manual editing may be required
- This action consumes credits for AI processing
